Sacramento QME: Orthopedic Surgery

As part of the Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) process, you may have been sent a panel of Qualified Medical Evaluators for Orthopedic Surgery. When choosing a Sacramento area Orthopedic Surgeon for your evaluation, you must first research that Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME).

orthopedic surgeryYou’ll be referred to a Qualified Medical Evaluator for Orthopedic Surgery if you’ve had the following:

  • Joint replacement or similar procedures
  • Foot and ankle trauma
  • Injuries to the shoulder or elbows
  • Fractures or similar injuries to bones
  • Nerves and vessels of the arms, back, legs, and neck
  • Arthroscopy and arthroscopic surgery

While it might be easy to choose an Orthopedic Surgeon as your Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) based on their convenient location, friendly customer service, or surgery expertise, you should select a Qualified Medical Examiner (QME) based on whether they are likely to write a fair and unbiased report about your injuries.

Traditional review sites are great starting points because they typically provide information about the doctor and their office from the customers’ perspective. Still, they may not discuss what’s most important to you – a fair and unbiased report. We’ve provided the following list to help you make an informed decision. This list should only be the start of your research, not the end. The Medical Board of California is an excellent place to search for information. Incorporating all of your research will help you make a well-informed decision. If you have questions about your workers’ compensation case, please get in touch with one of the workers’ compensation attorneys at Eason & Tambornini, ALC.

If you have received a report from a QME listed below, please vote on whether that report was “fair” or “not fair.”
