Lupe Carrasco, Attorney

attorney lupe carrascoLupe practiced workers’ compensation for over 17 years before joining Eason & Tambornini.  He is originally from Orange County, CA, and spent the first eight years of his legal career working in Southern California until one of his firms asked him to relocate to Sacramento and open up a Sacramento office on their behalf.  Intrigued by the opportunity, Lupe moved up here in 2012 and has been a member of Sacramento’s legal community ever since.

Lupe has appeared at all but two of the WCAB district offices in California.  In addition to making WCAB appearances, he has also appeared at mediations and arbitrations under the “carve-out” programs allowed by the Labor Code. (Labor Code section 3201.5.)  He has considerable knowledge of injuries sustained by construction workers, hospital workers, and restaurant workers.

During his career as a defense attorney, Lupe became disillusioned with how employers and insurers mistreat injured workers, treating each case as merely a number instead of a living and breathing person. Fed up with how callous defendants can be, he joined our firm to advocate on behalf of all injured workers, where he now uses his legal skills and personal insights into defense practices to ensure his clients receive all to which they are entitled.

Personal Life

Lupe is very logical and loves to argue, which are two qualities that are essential to being an attorney. Not surprisingly, Lupe always wanted to be an attorney growing up. He majored in Sociology at UC Berkeley as he felt that studying society would give him a background on why laws were created and broken.  Following college, Lupe spent two years working as a legal assistant, which confirmed his passion for the law and reinforced his goal of becoming an attorney.  Lupe then attended Loyola Law School, where he graduated in 2003.

Lupe met his wife, Kristina, while working together in Santa Ana, CA.  Although he later left the firm where they met, he took Kristina with him when he left, and Kristina and Lupe have now been married for over 11 years.  They are proud parents of two Boston Terriers, Bean and Boogie, who keep them very busy.

Lupe is an avid gamer, having played every console gaming system since Atari.  He is also a fan of the NFL and the NBA and often travels to Las Vegas in the summer to watch NBA Summer League.
